Description

SMP ECONOMY SAFE

A commercial and domestic cash safe, well engineered and solidly constructed at a price you can afford. Suggested overnight cash risk amounts up to £2,000.

Construction
The outer and inner bodies are constructed from B.S. 4360-43A high grade steel, which is electrically welded to form one solid unit. The space between the inner and outer skin is packed with specially formulated concrete and fire resistant materials which form a solid monolith of anti-penetration materials against heat and force. The protective thickness of the five sided monolith is 70mm. Intumescent fire seals are set around the safe body aperture giving thermal protection between the body and door sections. The outer steel door plate is 8mm thick, with an additional 3mm thick cyanide-hardened drill-resisting plate over the vital locking area. The total metal thickness over the lock is not less than 18mm and the overall door thickness is 70mm. Fire insulation is included within the thermal chamber of the lock case pan.

Boltwork
The boltwork operates moving bolts of 29mm diameter, with an extended throw of 25mm ensuring maximum engagement and security when locked. The fixed dog bolts are also 29mm in diameter and secure the inner edge of the door to the body. These bolts are secured by a high quality Willenhall 7 lever anti-drill keylock, with alternative locking offered by a three wheel keyless combination lock as an optional extra. Multi-locking facilities are also available.

Fittings
All safes can be supplied with adjustable shelves at 12mm pitches. Lockable full width drawers are also available for all safes.

Floor anchoring
All safes have provision for anchoring to either wood or concrete floors.

Fire protection
The Economy Safe has been fire tested to B.S. 476 Part 8 1972 at the Warrington Fire Research Centre and was contained in laboratory testing conditions at temperatures approaching 900°C for a period of 30 minutes. After removal from the furnace it was cooled and, when opened, the records inside were examined and found to be legible and unaffected by the heat.

Anti explosive device
A special relocking device operates each time the safe is legally locked. This device would remain in position if the lock was attacked by criminals thereby preventing entry to the safe.

  • Rotary Traps (Not 1412 & 1812 sizes)
  • Angled Deposit Capsule Tubes
