CONSUL Safes
The Stratford CONSUL offers a standard of protection previously found only in more expensive safes including a high-strength recessed door incorporating blowtorch and drill resistant alloy and modern high sensitivity anti-explosive devices.
SPECIFICATION
Body: Outer and inner bodies are constructed from high grade steel electrically welded to form a four-inch thick unit encasing a reinforced fire resisting and anti-penetration monolith and a steel protective shroud of 3/16″ thickness. Total metal content is not less than 1/2″ (12 mm).
Door: Of latest recessed design for added strength the door has an overall thickness of 4 1/2″ (115 mm) including a main slab of 2 1/4″ (57 mm) which incorporates blow-torch and drill resistant alloy and other protective materials.
Boltwork: Moving round steel bolts locking behind a solid rebate secure the door on the front top and bottom edges. The rear edge is secured by fixed round bolts locking behind a similar rebate. The number of bolts varies with the size of the safe.
Locking: Standard locking is by one nine-lever high-security keylock with double-bitted keys in duplicate. Additional keylock or three-wheel combination lock in place of or in addition to keylock supplied as optional extra.
Secondary Locking: An additional locking device comes into operation every time the safe is locked to give protection against attack by explosives. The lock is mounted upon a sensitive plate which responds to any form of attack in the lock area actuating one or more relocking devices. An extra heat-sensitive device is also fitted.
Anchoring: Provision can be made for anchoring the safe at extra cost.
Finish: Stratford Green.
