Description
LIST B SUPER QUALITY FIRE AND THIEF RESISTING SAFES
Door
This is 5″ thick, the outer plate being 3/4″ steel, reinforced with torch and drill resisting plate over the lock and vital parts, to give additional protection against burglary. The total steel protection in front of the lock is 1 1/2″. The lock and bolt chamber is formed with continuous rimming and is electrically welded to the door plate.
Boltwork
This is constructed of 1 1/2″ diameter sliding bolts of bright drawn steel at front edge, and fixed bolts at back of door. These all engage into rebate bars which are secured to the steel bar frame, the number of bolts being in proportion to the size of the safe.
Locking
The bolt throwing mechanism is operated by a lever handle and secured by two seven-lever block locks with duplicate steel keys. The automatic locking device immediately comes into action if the locks are dislodged by explosives, or by any other methods.
Frame
The frame is of strong steel bar section, electrically welded to the body, and the door is hung on hardened steel pivots fixed to the door, working in hardened steel cups.
Body
The outer body and lining are both fabricated from 1/4″ thick steel with an anti-penetration concrete infill to give an overall body thickness of 51/4″. Provision is made for base fixing all safes. Combination locks are available at extra cost. Six sizes manufactured, but other sizes can be made if requested.
