The outer and inner bodies of this safe are constructed of best open hearth steel plates with a total thickness of 9/16” (14.3 mm). The space between the outer and inner bodies is filled with solid fire-resisting composition.
The total thickness of the door is 5 1/16″(128.6 mm). The minimum thickness over the lock mechanism is 1 3/8″ (34.9 mm) including 3/16″ (4.8 mm) thick drill-resisting lock protection plate. The door is designed to resist explosives and forcing tools, and incorporates a fire-resisting chamber.
The door is securely held in its seating by five sliding round steel bolts, three at the front 1 3/8″ (34.9 mm.) in diameter and one each at top and bottom, 1″ (25.4 mm) diameter. The bands and centres forming the hinges are entirely concealed and when the door is closed it is not possible to discover whether the door is hung left-handed or right-handed.
The door chamber of this safe is an integral part of the door.
The sliding bolts are normally controlled by a best quality unpickable seven-lever key-lock with rustless keys supplied in duplicate.
The following locking arrangements are also available at extra cost :
One 3 Wheel Combination Lock in lieu of Keylock
One Keylock and one Combination Lock
